Full-Time Software Engineering Manager (.NET/Azure)

Software Engineering Manager is a hands-on, top-level leadership position, responsible for overseeing and contributing to the creation of solutions and architectures for high-volume, high-transaction applications.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee progress, daily activity status, and overall project activities.
• Work with engineering, UI/UX, and QA teams to meet deliverables and milestones.
• Understand good/bad code practices.
• Partner with product, design, and engineering to establish a multi-year development roadmap.
• Analyze requirements, collaborate with teams, ensure product changes are delivered.
• Adapt new technologies, tools, and processes.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with knowledge of algorithms, data structures, and complexity analysis.
• Manage staff, assign tasks, and oversee project logistics.
• Improve efficiency and sustainability of processes.
• Lead the team through the Agile Scrum process.
• Promote DevOps culture and work with IT.
• Be on-call for platform emergencies.
• Oversee product deployment activities.
• Plan for team capacity and form Scrum teams.
• Monitor and report on team performance metrics.
• Provide updates to leadership on sprint progress.
• Work with Product Owners to ensure development meets requirements.

Technical Requirements:

• Experience with C#, .NET Framework, Azure Cloud
• Experience with MS SQL Server, T-SQL, Relational Database Design
• Experience with Frontend technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Angular, ReactJS)
• Experience with Agile software methodologies

Preferred Experience:

• Azure Cloud Solutions (IaaS, SaaS)
• API development and integrations
• Architectural Patterns and Cloud Native development
• Microservices, container development, and integrations
• ETL technologies (SSIS, ADF, Data Bricks)
• Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines
• Entity Framework or other ORM

General Requirements:

• 15+ years of experience in IT
• 6+ years of professional management experience
• 8+ years of .NET development and architectural experience
• 3+ years of Azure cloud experience
• Bachelor's degree in computer science (Master's preferred)
