Contractor Software QA/QC

We are seeking a software tester to enhance software quality and reliability. Collaborate closely with engineers and quality management.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Execute black box and white box testing to identify bugs.
• Participate in QA test and procedure development for product excellence.
• Work with the development team to identify and document bugs/inconsistencies, adhering to quality standards.
• Assist in test plan and test case design to enhance functionality and user experience.
• Collaborate with QC to assess software performance and reliability, improving the software release workflow.
• Handle diverse tasks as needed, showcasing flexibility and dedication to enhancing software quality and reliability.
• Ensure software meets quality standards.

Qualifications:

• Graduate degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• Experience with software testing, testing frameworks, and QA methodologies/tools.
• Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Knowledge of clean architecture principles, focused on clean, maintainable code.
• Ability to understand complex systems, identify errors, and provide solutions.
• Excellent teamwork and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage deadlines.

Nice to Haves:

• Familiarity with JIRA.
• Knowledge of test design concepts/methodologies (e.g., TDD).
• Familiarity with UI test frameworks (e.g., Appium, Selenium).
• Familiarity with unit test frameworks (e.g., NUnit, Jest, Pytest).
• Basic knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automated test integration.
• Prior QA experience.

Work Hours (Vancouver Time):

• 8 PM - 10 PM EET (10 AM - 12 PM PST)
