Fandango is seeking a versatile Sr. Ad Attribution Engineer (API Engineer) to join our team.
This role will be responsible for architecting and implementing conversion API (CAPI) solutions. These solutions will transmit first-party transaction and conversion data from Fandango properties (websites, mobile apps, and CTV platforms) to advertising networks (Meta, Snapchat, TikTok, Roku, TheTradeDesk, DV360, etc.).
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop high-performance conversion APIs to capture and process key ad campaign data.
- Manage pixel/tag deployments for accurate tracking and seamless third-party integrations.
- Develop server-to-server pipelines to various ad tech APIs (Meta CAPI, TikTok Events API, Google Ads API, TheTradeDesk API, Roku, etc.).
- Design and optimize systems for handling millions of attribution requests with low latency and high reliability.
- Leverage big data insights to improve performance and drive campaign success.
- Design, develop, test, review, and maintain customer-facing web applications (RESTful APIs and database interactions).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Mentor junior engineers and foster a collaborative environment.
- Ensure systems meet data privacy standards (GDPR, CCPA, CPRA, VPPA, iOS).
- Deploy proactive monitoring and support to resolve issues.
Qualifications:
- BS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, emphasizing ad attribution.
- Experience with Serverless REST API development (AWS Lambda, Cognito, API Gateway).
- Experience with Batch job development (AWS Batch, Step Functions).
- Experience with Data Lake / Elastic Search / Database Technologies.
- Experience with event-driven architecture (Kafka, Kinesis, SQS, RabbitMQ, etc.).
- Expert-level proficiency in JavaScript, ES6, and Node.js.
- Understanding of web software design patterns and principles.
- Experience with Git and source code control.
- Experience in an agile/Scrum environment.
Additional Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with Angular, React/Redux, Vue.js, or other modern front-end frameworks.
- Familiarity with test-driven and behavior-driven development practices.
- Familiarity with front-end workflow tools (Grunt, Gulp, Webpack, Next.js).
- AWS certifications preferred.
