Senior API Developer – Apigee
Location: Costa Mesa, CA (Local only)
Duration: 12+ Months
Experience Level: 10+ Years
Summary: Seeking a skilled Senior API Developer with strong hands-on experience in Apigee and API development. Ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of microservices architecture, API security, and modern API management platforms.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and manage API proxies using Apigee.
- Develop and maintain scalable microservices to support APIs.
- Implement API platform features (security, throttling, caching, logging, custom analytics, monetization, traffic management).
- Work with API security frameworks (OAuth 2.0, JWT, etc.).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable API solutions.
- Optimize API performance and monitor using Apigee and other tools.
Required Skills:
- Hands-on experience with Apigee or similar API Management platforms.
- Proficient in API design, development, and management.
- Strong understanding of microservices architecture.
- Knowledge of API security protocols (OAuth2, JWT, etc.).
- Experience with API gateway configurations (rate limiting, caching, transformations).
- Strong debugging and performance tuning skills.
Preferred:
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure).
