Contractor Sr IT Data Engineer - Remote

Bertoni Solutions is seeking a Senior Data Engineer based in LATAM for a fully remote project. Advanced English proficiency is required.

Responsibilities:

• Process information through data loading/extraction independently.
• Design & develop a large-scale data lake, managing data flows from Veeva/Salesforce and other sources into a customer data hub.
• Orchestrate data pipelines for ETL of CRM data to create templatized data solutions for downstream teams (Sales Analytics, Incentive Compensation, Data Science).
• Perform quality control on all deliverables (standard, ad-hoc).
• Develop and maintain project documentation, including work instructions.
• Provide feedback on new integration initiatives.
• Meet with clients to establish, monitor, and review deliverables.
• Other projects as needed by management.
• Engage with clients to facilitate data management services.

Requirements:

• Experience with data management teams supporting Pharma field operations.
• Experience in data-centric implementations (SFA/CRM, Business Intelligence Tools).
• 3+ years experience with data warehouse, MDM, & data integration initiatives.
• 3+ years experience building ETL/ELT solutions using tools like Azure Data Factory, Azure Functions, Logic Apps, Databricks, & Snowflake.
• Snowflake data warehousing proficiency.
• Knowledge of SDLC best practices & source control (Azure DevOps to GitHub).
• Strong organizational skills.
• Experience in a production environment for multiple clients in a compliance industry.
• Ability to work in a team and implement a data management framework.
• Translate customer needs into technical requirements.
• Advanced written & spoken English fluency.
• Detail-oriented, analytical, with planning and organizational skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Specific knowledge of client business & technology/data operations in the pharmaceutical industry.
• Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a process-driven environment.

Preferred:

• Bachelor's degree (Computer Science, Technology, or Engineering preferred).
• Experience with Salesforce/Veeva or similar CRM.
• Prior experience with Veeva Network.
• Experience in Pharmaceutical/Life Sciences implementations.
• Azure DP-900 and/or DP-203 certification.

Contract Details:

• Independent contractor (no benefits).
• Initial 6-month contract, potentially extendable.
• 100% remote, nearshore.
• Full-time, Monday-Friday, US Eastern Time.
• Own equipment required.
