Company Information: The client is an enterprise content management company in the cloud. Small to large organizations rely on their modern, secure solution for document management. They offer a secure cloud-based solution with integrations for smart editing and collaboration.
Profile and Project: We're seeking a Staff Software Engineer with deep experience building full-stack applications in a production environment. The ideal candidate will have a proven ability to lead a team technically. This role reports to the Senior Engineer Manager for Next-Gen Experience.
Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of experienced Software Engineers as a technical lead (70% code, 30% mentoring).
- Guide and mentor team development towards successful project delivery.
- Architect and implement new React components and front-end applications.
- Document architectural designs (Miro or similar).
- Build and test new designs, formulations, and systems.
- Test applications/services in various environments.
- Gauge platform performance and optimize system behavior.
- Analyze problems, define requirements, and develop solutions.
- Stay updated on development methodologies and technologies.
- Collaborate with Product and Design counterparts.
- Work with Principal and Distinguished Engineers on scalable solutions.
- Ensure application health via logging and telemetry.
Qualifications:
- 8+ years of software engineering experience.
- 3+ years of technical leadership experience.
- Experience with C# (.NET), Java, or ES6+ JavaScript/TypeScript, React or Angular.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented principles and patterns.
- Extensive frontend and component architecture experience.
- Experience with frontend state management (Redux, MobX, etc.).
- Experience with REST and GraphQL services.
- Ability to lead technical architecture discussions and drive decisions.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Advanced English proficiency.
Preferred Skills:
- AWS, Module Federation, Design Systems, Micro-frontends, Internationalization (i18n).
- Experience with Figma, Chromatic, Storybook, Fluent UI and other design systems.
- Legal Industry experience.
Must-haves:
- 8+ years of software engineering experience.
- 6+ years React or Angular experience.
- 4+ years C# .NET or Java.
- 6+ years ES6 JavaScript experience.
- 6+ years Typescript experience.
- 3+ years of technical leadership experience.
- 4+ years AWS experience (or Azure willingness to learn AWS)
- 4+ experience with front-end application state management (Redux, MobX, etc).
- 4+ REST experience
- 4+ GraphQL experience
