Profile and Project: We are seeking a Staff Software Engineer with deep knowledge building full-stack applications. The ideal candidate has demonstrated expertise leading their team. This position reports to the Senior Engineer Manager for Next-Gen Experience.
Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of experienced Software Engineers.
- Guide and mentor team development efforts for successful project delivery.
- Architect and implement new React components and front-end applications.
- Document architectural designs through diagrams and flows in Miro or similar tools.
- Build and test new systems for quality and performance compliance.
- Test applications and services in various environments.
- Gauge platform performance and optimize system behavior.
- Provide analysis, problem definition, requirements, and solutions for operational feasibility.
- Stay current with development methodologies, technologies.
- Partner with Product and Design counterparts.
- Collaborate with Principal and Distinguished Engineers for scalable solutions.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 8+ years of software engineering experience.
- 3+ years in a technical leadership role.
- Experience with multiple languages (C# .NET preferred or Java), ES6+ JavaScript/TypeScript, React (preferred) or Angular.
- Deep understanding of object-oriented principles and patterns.
- Extensive experience with front-end and component architecture.
- Experience with front-end application state management (Redux, MobX, etc.).
- Experience communicating with services using REST and GraphQL.
- Excellent collaboration, interpersonal, and communication skills in English and Spanish or Portuguese.
- Ability to add transparency to application health through logging and telemetry.
- Advanced English level.

- 3+ years in technical leadership roles
- 4+ years AWS experience (preferred) or Azure willingness to learn
- 4+ years experience with front-end application state management
- 4+ years REST and GraphQL experience
