About The Role
We are looking for our first Staff Machine Learning Engineer to establish and lead our machine learning initiatives. This is a critical, foundational role where you will have the unique opportunity to shape the future of data science and ML at Niche.
What You Will Do
- Identify & Prioritize: Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and prioritize ML opportunities.
- Design & Build: Lead the development of machine learning models.
- Deploy & Integrate: Develop production-grade code and systems to deploy ML models.
- Measure & Iterate: Define metrics, monitor performance, and drive improvement.
- Champion & Evangelize: Communicate ML concepts and champion the use of data science.
- Lead & Mentor: Establish best practices and mentor other ML engineers.
- Innovate: Stay abreast of advancements in machine learning and MLOps.
What We Are Looking For
- Experience: 8+ years in software development or data science, with 5+ years in ML.
- Proven Impact: Track record of shipping ML models with measurable business growth.
- Technical Depth (Hands-On): Expertise in Python and common ML libraries.
- Business Acumen: Ability to translate business needs into ML problems.
- Leadership Experience: Experience leading technical projects and mentoring others.
- Education: MS or PhD in Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
