Unitek Learning is seeking an experienced and credentialed Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support the development of Practical Nursing (PN) curriculum for online, asynchronous delivery.
This temporary, contract position will report to the Director of Instructional Design and play a key role in creating engaging, outcomes-aligned learning materials.
- Develop lecture content, learning activities, assignments, and assessments as assigned following a predetermined instructional plan.
- Create quiz and exam questions across Bloom's taxonomy and in NCLEX Next Gen formats adhering to defined ratios as advised.
- Provide clear, evidence-based rationales for all exam questions.
- Map curriculum to course outcomes, competencies, and program-level objectives.
- Design rubrics and assessment tools that support student evaluation and feedback.
- Collaborate with instructional designers and academic leadership throughout the course development cycle.
- Integrate tools and resources from ATI and Wolters Kluwer when appropriate.
Required Qualifications:
- Master's degree or higher in Nursing or a closely related field.
- Active, unencumbered RN license
- Experience designing PN-level curriculum and instructional content.
- Proficiency with Canvas LMS and best practices for online, asynchronous education.
- Expertise in assessment development, including rubrics and learning outcome alignment.
- Ability to follow structured plans and work collaboratively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with ATI and Wolters Kluwer educational platforms.
- Experience with instructional audio and video recording.
- Ability to record voice or video elements as needed to enhance instructional delivery.
