Unitek Learning is seeking an experienced and credentialed Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support the development of Practical Nursing (PN) curriculum for online, asynchronous delivery.
Temporary, contract position reporting to the Director of Instructional Design.
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop lecture content, learning activities, assignments, and assessments following an instructional plan.
- Create quiz and exam questions across Bloom's taxonomy and NCLEX Next Gen formats.
- Provide evidence-based rationales for all exam questions.
- Map curriculum to course outcomes, competencies, and program-level objectives.
- Design rubrics and assessment tools for student evaluation and feedback.
- Collaborate with instructional designers and academic leadership.
- Integrate tools and resources from ATI and Wolters Kluwer.
Requirements:
- Master's degree or higher in Nursing or related field
- Active, unencumbered RN license
- Experience designing PN-level curriculum and instructional content
- Proficiency with Canvas LMS and online, asynchronous education best practices
- Expertise in assessment development, including rubrics and learning outcome alignment
- Ability to follow structured plans and work collaboratively
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with ATI and Wolters Kluwer educational platforms
- Experience with instructional audio and video recording
- Ability to record voice/video elements
