We are seeking a Technical Project Manager (Ad Tech) - Part Time to join our Advertising Technology team. You will drive successful execution of technical and IT projects. You'll plan, execute, and close projects on time, within budget, and scope. This role offers the opportunity to shape the organization by delivering innovative solutions and optimizing project management.
Ideal candidate has proven ability to lead fast-paced projects with evolving priorities and excellent communication skills. Experience in Cable or Ad Tech is required. This is a part-time remote role, open to candidates in and around Long Island, New York.
Responsibilities:
- Own daily operational execution of technical projects, focusing on requirement clarity, story management, and backlog grooming.
- Support lean sprint management through daily standups, prioritization, and milestone tracking (especially with offshore teams).
- Translate business requirements into clear user stories and tasks (using Trello).
- Maintain sprint boards, proactively flagging blockers/dependencies to Program Manager.
- Collaborate with engineering and QA leads to ensure technical feasibility, scope alignment, and release goals.
- Monitor sprint performance and velocity, supporting continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with client's development team on timelines, milestones, and technical dependencies.
- Provide timely reporting on sprint progress, completion rates, and risks to leadership.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 5-7 years technical project management experience in software development environments.
- Strong experience managing sprints and backlogs using Trello (or similar).
- Comfortable working with offshore engineering teams across time zones.
- Ability to write, manage, and prioritize detailed user stories and technical requirements.
- Familiarity with Agile and Lean methodologies.
- Excellent organizational and task management skills, with a strong bias for execution.
- Technical fluency (understanding developer conversations and system dependencies).
