We are seeking a Technical Project Manager (Ad Tech) - Part Time to join our Advertising Technology team.
Role Overview: You will drive the successful execution of technical and IT projects, ensuring timely, in-scope, and within-budget completion. You'll shape the future of the organization by delivering innovative solutions and optimizing project management processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own daily operational execution of technical projects (requirements, story management, backlog grooming)
- Support lean sprint management (stand-ups, prioritization, milestone tracking, offshore teams)
- Translate business requirements into detailed user stories (Trello)
- Maintain sprint boards, flag blockers/dependencies to the Program Manager
- Collaborate with engineering & QA (technical feasibility, scope, release goals)
- Monitor sprint performance & velocity, supporting continuous improvement
- Collaborate with client's development team to align on timelines, milestones, & technical dependencies
- Provide timely reporting on sprint progress, completion rates, and risks to leadership
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- 5-7 years technical project management experience in software development
- Experience in Cable or Ad Tech industries is required
- Strong experience managing sprints & backlogs using Trello (or similar tools)
- Comfortable working with offshore engineering teams (experience managing across time zones preferred)
- Ability to write, manage, & prioritize user stories and technical requirements
- Familiarity with Agile & Lean methodologies
- Excellent organizational & task management skills
- Technical fluency (understanding of developer conversations & system dependencies)
Hourly Rate: $45-$65
Location: Long Island, NY (remote with occasional travel).
