Job Details
- Write headlines and descriptive copy for TED Talks, original series, podcasts and other content
- Publish TED Talks as well as other video and written content using internal publishing tools
- Work with speakers and their teams ahead of their publish dates to prepare them for their talk’s release
- Collect, edit and publish annotations and other extra resources from speakers
- Write and edit live event recaps from conferences
- Edit articles about talks, initiative launches and other organizational priorities for the TED Blog
- Project manage subtitle process for Featured talks, including assigning review work to freelancers and approving final English transcripts
1-2 years of professional writing and editorial experience, or an equivalent degree
Ability to pass a transcription and a writing test
Comfort with digital content management and publishing software, like Airtable and WordPress
Near-native fluency in a second language other than English
Photoshop or similar image-editing software experience
News reporting experience
Subtitling experience
