Contractor UI/UX Designer

Looking for a creative and passionate Senior UX/UI Designer to lead the user experience design for consumer mobile apps servicing electricity and gas customers. You should have a solid background in Mobile App design, Product Design, and be comfortable working with product stakeholders and UX researchers to deliver user experiences that help our energy customers in their daily lives.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
•       Design aesthetically pleasing mockups, flows, and high-resolution production-ready visual layouts
•       Participate in project discovery activities (building a story, doing competitive research, creating user personas, and helping define the overall ‘heart and soul’ of the app)
•       Collaborate with team members to create and follow standards and best practices
•       Keep up to date with industry standards and emerging technologies/techniques
•       Support internal business and marketing initiatives (e.g., occasional updates to app, maintaining visual style for collateral, etc.)
•       Create and maintain design systems, pattern libraries, and style guides in Figma to ensure design consistency

Minimum Requirements:
•       High school diploma or GED
•       Minimum 5 years of digital design experience, including extensive time inclusive of mobile apps
•       Proficient in Figma, specifically with design systems
•       A portfolio showcasing your best website, app, and/or interface design work
•       Confidence with typography, color theory, iconography, aesthetics, and application of existing client branding
•       Humility and openness to creative direction (we work collaboratively as a team)
•       The ability to articulate and defend your creative vision and choices to senior management
•       Excellent communication and presentation skills

Preferred Qualifications:
•       Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Digital Media Design or a related field
•       Interaction design skills for animations and motion graphics
•       Experience with HTML/CSS and front-end scripting technologies
