We're looking for a passionate and experienced UX Designer on a 15-month contract.
Role: This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative, agile environment and is driven by creating impactful, user-centered experiences across digital platforms. You'll be at the forefront of our design efforts, shaping meaningful products. Reporting to the Team Lead, UX/Design, you'll be responsible for assessing user desirability, technical viability, and business feasibility.
Responsibilities:
- Lead ideation sessions, co-creation workshops, and design thinking exercises with cross-functional teams.
- Translate complex problems into intuitive user experiences.
- Produce wireframes, user flows, functional prototypes, and user scenarios.
- Communicate design concepts and rationale to stakeholders.
- Stay current with UX best practices, design systems, and accessibility standards.
- Define and conduct user research and usability testing.
- Improve and maintain the existing Design System.
- Collaborate with Product Managers and Developers.
- Contribute to a culture of feedback, experimentation, and continuous improvement.
Requirements:
- University degree or college diploma in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
- 4+ years of UX/UI design experience.
- Strong background in user-centered design and mixed-method research methodologies.
- Proficiency in Figma or equivalent prototyping tools.
- Demonstrated experience maintaining and evolving a Design System.
- Portfolio showcasing design thinking, problem-solving, and user-centric outcomes.
- Experience with responsive design and agile product teams.
- Strong communication skills, ability to articulate design rationale.
- Familiarity with accessibility standards and conducting audits (an asset).
- Experience in Fintech, Insurance, or Banking sectors (an asset).
