Roles & Responsibilities
Designing, deploying, and optimizing Versa SD-WAN solutions. Providing technical leadership and collaborating with customers and stakeholders for successful implementations.
Analyzing, designing, and developing technical solutions for customer and internal issues.
Helping L3 support and customers solve reported product and network problems.
Replicating customer issues in a lab environment.
Coordinating with OEMs to replicate issues and test fixes.
Performing hands-on tests to validate customer proof-of-concept setups, network designs, and deployments using new products and features.
Developing, defining, and creating best practices for network infrastructure and SD-WAN design.
Setting up infrastructure.
Creating knowledge articles.
Ability to write bash/python scripts.
Validating hot fixes and providing recommendations to the operations team.
Technical Skills
Strong understanding of Versa SD-WAN platform architecture, components, and functionality.
Ability to configure and provision Versa SD-WAN devices and services.
Versa Concerto Orchestration proficiency: using Concerto's lifecycle stages for configuring, deploying, monitoring, and managing SD-WAN deployments.
Understanding Concerto's hierarchical configuration structure (master profiles, subprofiles, policies, rules).
Creating, configuring, and managing SD-WAN tenants within Concerto.
Familiarity with Concerto's API for automation and integration.
Managing and deploying Versa's Secure SD-WAN solutions using Versa Concerto.
Managing device configurations, software upgrades, and administrative tasks.
Proficiency in SD-WAN management, monitoring, and troubleshooting tools.
Identifying and resolving SD-WAN performance issues using Versa Director and Versa Analytics.
Hands-on experience with IP Networking, Routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, L3VPN, DHCP, DNS, NAT, BFD, Application aware Routing & QoS), and switching (VLAN, Trunking, Dot1x, various flavors of STP, VxLAN).
TCP/IP protocol suite.
Understanding of IPSec VPN/SSL-VPN/NAT/GRE.
Analyzing traffic and packet flows using packet analyzers (Wireshark, tcpdump).
Understanding security logs, vulnerabilities, CVEs, threat maps.
Knowledge of Linux/Unix environment.
Understanding of virtualization, SaaS, IaaS, and related technologies.
Managing, supporting, and deploying network infrastructures.
Diagnosing complex server or network issues.
Basic understanding of hardware-level and system-level troubleshooting.
Experience with Hybrid Cloud network deployments (AWS, OpenStack, GCP) - a plus.
