Contractor Versa SD-WAN System Architect

Roles & Responsibilities

• Designing, deploying, and optimizing Versa SDWAN solutions.
• Providing technical leadership and collaborating with customers and stakeholders for successful implementations.
• Analyzing, designing, and developing technical solutions for customer and internal issues.
• Assisting L3 support and customers to resolve reported product and network problems.
• Replicating customer issues in a lab environment.
• Coordinating with OEMs to replicate customer issues and test fixes.
• Performing hands-on tests to validate customer proof-of-concept setups, network designs, and network deployments using new products and features.
• Developing, defining, and creating best practices for Network infrastructure and SDWAN design.
• Setting up infrastructure.
• Creating knowledge articles.
• Writing bash/python scripts.
• Validating hot fixes and providing recommendations to operations team.

Technical Skills

• Strong understanding of Versa SD-WAN platform architecture, components, and functionality.
• Configuring and provisioning Versa SD-WAN devices and services.
• Versa Concerto Orchestration: Proficiency in using Concerto's lifecycle stages for configuring, deploying, monitoring, and managing SD-WAN deployments.
• Understanding Concerto's hierarchical configuration structure (master profiles, subprofiles, policies, and rules).
• Creating, configuring, and managing SD-WAN tenants within Concerto.
• Familiarity with Concerto's API for automation and integration.
• Managing and deploying Versa's Secure SD-WAN solutions using Versa Concerto.
• Managing device configurations, software upgrades, and other administrative tasks.
• Using tools for SD-WAN management, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Identifying and resolving SD-WAN performance issues using Versa Director and Versa Analytics.
• Hands-on experience in IP Networking, Routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, L3VPN, DHCP, DNS, NAT, BFD, Application aware Routing & QoS), and switching (VLAN, Trunking, Dot1x, various flavors of STP, VxLAN).
• Understanding TCP/IP protocol suite.
• Knowledge of IPSec VPN/SSL-VPN/NAT/GRE.
• Analyzing traffic and packet flows using packet analyzers (Wireshark, tcpdump).
• Understanding security logs, vulnerabilities, CVEs, and threat maps.
• Working knowledge of Linux/Unix environment.
• Understanding virtualization, SaaS, IaaS, and related technologies.
• Managing, supporting, and deploying network infrastructures.
• Diagnosing complex server or network issues.
• Basic understanding of hardware and system-level troubleshooting.
• Experience with Hybrid Cloud network deployments (AWS, OpenStack, GCP - preferred).
