Are you a skilled Video Editor based in the New York City area? Our ad agency client is seeking a freelance Video Editor to transform raw footage into polished videos that align with marketing goals and creative vision. You will collaborate closely with the creative team, including producers, directors, and designers, to ensure the final product meets high standards of quality and creativity.
Portfolio Note: In order to be considered, candidates must have a polished reel that includes video editing projects for high-profile national clients with well-established brands and voices.
You Will:
- Edit raw video footage and add effects/elements to enhance motion graphics
- Ensure logical sequencing and smooth running of final videos
- Trim footage segments and put together the sequence of the film
- Input music, dialogues, graphics, and effects
- Create rough and final cuts
- Continuously discover and implement new editing technologies and industry’s best practices to maximize efficiency
You Have:
- Solid experience with digital technology and editing in Adobe Premiere
- Demonstrable video editing ability with a strong portfolio
- Thorough knowledge of timing, motivation, and continuity
- Creative mind and storytelling skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- BSc degree in film studies, cinematography or related field is a plus.

- Hours/Week: Project-Based As Needed (Sporadic)
- Onsite/Offsite: Remote working roughly ET or CT hours (*Must be based in the NYC Area for Project Handoffs
