Contractor Video Editor

We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Video Editor in Newark, Delaware. The role involves creating video deliverables using creative direction and existing footage provided. The Video Editor will be part of a dynamic team, working in an exciting and fast-paced industry.

Responsibilities

• Editing and assembling recorded raw material into a suitable, finished product ready for broadcasting
• Using Adobe Flash, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop for editing purposes
• Managing and overseeing all technical aspects of video editing
• Collaborating closely with the team to execute ideas and projects
• Using creativity and artistic techniques to tell a story or provide information in visual form
• Revising and reviewing content based on feedback
• Maintaining an organized database of all video footage
• Supporting the team in developing brand awareness through video content
• Utilizing skills in graphic design and digital filming to enhance the final product
• Ensuring all editing cuts, effects, and overlays are correctly paced and seamless.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Adobe Flash, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe Photoshop is required
• Experience with Database management is necessary
• Knowledge of EO/IR systems is a must
• Demonstrated ability to raise Brand Awareness is essential
• Strong Design skills, particularly in Digital mediums
• Experience in Filming and video production is needed
• Expertise in Graphic Design is crucial
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong creative thinking and problem-solving skills
• Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks at once
• Willingness to learn new technologies and techniques in video editing
• Bachelor's degree in Film Studies, Cinematography or related field is preferred
• Proven experience as a Video Editor in a similar role.
