Mercor is seeking Visual Annotation Experts to collaborate with a leading AI lab on a project designed to advance the performance of cutting-edge AI models.
Role Description:
Experts will analyze short video clips and/or images, producing structured annotations that capture key details such as:
- Subjects
- Objects
- Environments
- Audio cues
- Temporal dynamics
- Mood
- Storytelling elements
This work plays a critical role in helping AI systems better understand and interpret complex visual and narrative information.
Qualifications:
- Experience in one or more of these archetypes: movie producers, film editors, screenwriters, archivists, media analysts, or generalists with excellent attention to detail.
- Apply judgment to decide which attributes best describe a scene and how to express subtle narrative or emotional cues.
- Combine strong attention to detail with the ability to clearly document findings.
- Excel at following precise instructions and quickly adopting new requirements.
- Possess strong written and verbal communication.
Requirements:
- Collaborate directly with Mercor’s project leads.
- Start dates are rolling; we aim to onboard qualified experts within a few days (1‑2) of application.
- Up to 40 hours of work available per week.
- Fully remote and asynchronous, so it can be flexible to your schedule.
- The project is expected to last a minimum of 4–5 weeks, with potential for extension.
Pay and Legal Status:
- Legally classified as an hourly contractor for Mercor.
- Paid at the end of each week via Stripe Connect.
