Full-Time Web Development Manager

We’re looking for a strategic and technically adept Manager to lead our Web Development team. This role is responsible for overseeing the development, operation, and modernization of our web infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

• Manage a team of full-time and contract developers across Python and PHP.
• Define detailed technical tasks, write tickets, and provide architectural and coding guidance.
• Oversee Django-based websites hosted on AWS.
• Maintain and support Jenkins deployment workflows.
• Manage and troubleshoot traffic delivery and caching setups via Akamai and Cloudflare.
• Maintain Python-based scripts running as Lambda functions.
• Support and guide the transition from Django to Drupal.
• Coordinate contract developers working in Pantheon on Drupal-based content management.
• Oversee analytics and optimization tooling including GA360, GTM, Microsoft Clarity, OneTrust, and Optimizely.
• Serve as the primary liaison between the web team and marketing stakeholders.
• Own vendor relationships and platform contracts related to web development, hosting, and analytics tools.
• Track budget, license usage, and platform utilization.

What YOU bring to the Team:

• 5+ years of experience managing technical web or marketing technology teams.
• Proven ability to lead full-stack development efforts and manage hybrid environments.
• Strong technical understanding of Django, Python, Drupal, PHP, AWS infrastructure, and deployment pipelines.
• Experience writing technical documentation and implementation-ready tickets.
• Ability to step in and troubleshoot code or infrastructure when needed.
• Experience with CDN configuration and edge caching strategies using Akamai or Cloudflare.
• Familiarity with analytics, tag management, and experimentation tools.
• Excellent communication, project management, and vendor negotiation skills.
