Job Details
Account Director - Strategic guidance for developing integrated marketing plans and client projects. You'll be a key client contact, addressing concerns and finding growth opportunities, and advising clients on effective strategies based on research and best practices.
Medical Communications Expertise is required; experience with scientific content and healthcare professional initiatives is essential.
Business Ownership includes managing your book of business and driving growth, internally developing and mentoring the team, and externally maintaining strong client relationships across assigned brand teams.
- Vision Setting: Participate in establishing the client vision and ensuring team execution.
- Cross-Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams and agency partners for medical accuracy and regulatory alignment.
- Client Relationship Management: Maintain strong client relationships, extending beyond assigned brand teams.
- Strategic Insights: Provide clients with research, data, and strategic insights to support solution development.
- Financial Oversight: Oversee budget and brand target execution.
- Project Leadership: Lead various MedComms projects, such as advisory boards, symposia, and publication development.
- Strategic Planning: Develop strategic and tactical integrated marketing plans.
- Client Counseling: Advise clients on effective strategies to meet their objectives.
- Project Management: Oversee and lead campaign and project planning.
- Integrated Solutions: Research and collaborate to develop integrated solutions.
Minimum Requirements
- Strong strategic planning and brand planning skills
- Pharmaceutical product lifecycle management knowledge
- Digital development experience
- Native/fluent English; additional languages beneficial
- Budget reconciliation and forecasting skills
- Internal and external collaboration skills
- Mentoring and leadership experience
- Presentation and strategic deck development capabilities
- Problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Ability to manage timelines and processes for medical deliverables
- Scientific data interpretation skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in relevant fields (Communication, Marketing, Biology, etc.)
- 8-12 years of client-side, agency, or pharmaceutical experience
- Digital media and technology marketing expertise
- Global/regional MedComms account management experience
- Proven results in creative concept development and delivery
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills
