Temporary Accounts Receivable Specialist

Description

We are offering a contract employment opportunity for an Accounts Receivable Specialist in the construction/contractor industry based in San Francisco, California. As part of our team, you will oversee the processing and reconciliation of customer payments, assist with various billing tasks, and provide support in handling customer inquiries. Your role is vital in maintaining our company's financial health and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:
• Manage the organization and execution of the monthly billing cycle, including the preparation of invoices and lien releases
• Maintain and update customer credit records, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
• Assist project managers with monthly invoices and resolve any arising A/R queries
• Conduct research and reconciliation of A/R payments to ensure accuracy
• Provide support in handling customer inquiries and resolving issues promptly
• Take responsibility for maintaining current billing on various billing portals
• Assist in general clerical duties such as filing, mailing, copying, and faxing
• Manage special projects as they arise, demonstrating flexibility and problem-solving skills
• Process customer credit applications accurately and efficiently
• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the Accounts Receivable or similar role
• Proficiency in Progress Billing and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Strong understanding of the construction/contractor industry 
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
