Contractor Adjunct Instructor - Mathematics

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced distance instructor specializing in Mathematics.

DISTANCE EDUCATION/INSTRUCTION

• Fulfill the assigned teaching load per semester with diligence and professionalism.
• Maintain subject matter expertise, including distance education methodologies.
• Apply established teaching criteria, procedures, and curriculum for optimal student learning outcomes.
• Implement diverse and innovative distance education teaching methodologies.
• Utilize the Learning Management System (LMS) for course content delivery and formative feedback.
• Collaborate with the program chair/director to enhance distance education environments.

LEARNER RETENTION

• Monitor and track student retention using course attendance records.
• Develop and implement data-driven strategies for student retention improvement.
• Engage in strategic partnerships to optimize distance education design and effectiveness.

PROMOTE EXCELLENCE IN TEACHING

• Maintain proficiency in course content, curricula, learning outcomes, and assessment activities.
• Teach assigned courses within allowable contact hours, ensuring high instructional quality.
• Demonstrate superior skill and knowledge in the teaching discipline.
• Continuously improve instructional quality through diverse techniques.
• Contribute to program curriculum planning, development, and maintenance.
• Thoroughly evaluate student progress, providing prompt feedback.
• Submit required program reports and forms punctually and accurately.
• Maintain meticulous student records of attendance and skill competency.
• Collaborate with program director/chair to resolve student appeals.
• Attend faculty meetings as scheduled.

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT AND COMPLIANCE

• Engage in and document professional development and in-service training.
• Maintain exemplary professional relationships with colleagues, students, and the community.
• Adhere to all policies and procedures in handbooks and department directives.
• Coordinate and balance diverse student needs, demonstrating cultural competence and inclusivity.

Requirements:

• Master's degree in related field (Doctorate preferred)
• 15 credit hours of education in each topic assigned.
• Three (3) years of practical experience in the content area.
