We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Administrative Assistant in Santa Barbara, California. The role involves a range of functions in support of development processes, maintaining strong relationships with supporters, and efficiently managing an array of administrative tasks. You will be a key part of our team, contributing to various research, writing, and stewardship projects.
Responsibilities:
• Assist in the development process to support relationships
• Contribute to creating good customer experience
• Assist with communication, including notes, requests, and other correspondence.
• Assist with donor development and recognition
• Assist with event planning and execution
• Write, edit, and design proposals, reports, and other presentation materials for key supporters.
• Coordinate with outside vendors
Requirements
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Experience in handling both inbound and outbound calls
• Proven customer service skills and experience
• Ability to perform data entry tasks with high level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Competency in managing email correspondence professionally and promptly
• Skilled in scheduling appointments and managing calendars
• Experience in donor communication and management
• Ability to plan, coordinate, and execute events
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information with discretion
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
