Agile Coach
We are seeking an experienced Agile Coach to guide our organization through the adoption and optimization of Agile methodologies. The Agile Coach’s primary focus will be ensuring Agile practices are performing as expected and leveraging feedback and metrics to drive continuous improvement.
This role involves providing guidance and oversight of Agile ceremonies, such as sprint planning and retrospectives, optimizing team processes, and enhancing productivity and efficiency.
Additionally, the Agile Coach will assess team and organizational performance, identify areas for improvement, and develop strategies to increase Agile maturity and success.
The Agile coach will support varying product and engineering roles for internal and outsourced teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coaching and Mentoring: Provide guidance and support to teams and individuals to enhance their Agile skills and competencies. Act as a mentor to team members, helping them understand and apply scaled Agile frameworks, and empowering them to deliver high-quality results.
- Product Management Development: Coach and develop best practices for Product Management, with a focus on defining work (Initiatives, Epics, and Stories) and refining backlogs.
- Continuous Improvement: Leverage metrics to identify opportunities for process improvement and better team outcomes. Facilitate progress checkpoint surveys to evaluate Agile maturity and uncover further coaching and training needs.
- Facilitating Agile Practices: Oversee Agile ceremonies, such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and backlog refinement sessions. Ensure effective implementation of Agile practices and support teams in embracing Agile values and principles.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Agile Coach or Scrum Master in a software development or organizational environment.
- Deep understanding of Agile principles, frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe), and best practices.
- Demonstrated ability to coach Product Managers, Scrum Masters, and Product Owners.
- Strong facilitation, mentoring, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Proficiency in using Agile metrics and tools to enhance team performance.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified ScrumMaster, SAFe Program Consultant) are a plus.
