Full-Time AI Quality Engineer

Quality Engineering (under Technology) plays a crucial role in Turnitin's software development process, ensuring products meet quality standards.

Responsibilities:

• Research: Stay updated on AI detection bypass trends, and share findings with the team.
• Data Analysis: Aggregate, organize, and analyze data to identify patterns and vulnerabilities in AI detection mechanisms.
• Automation & Solution Strategy: Identify automation opportunities, develop/maintain automated test coverage, and contribute to solution design.
• Team Collaboration: Facilitate communication between technical and non-technical teams.
• Documentation & Process Improvement: Create, maintain documentation (methods, tools, test strategies, vulnerabilities, impact assessments) and improve related processes.
• Knowledge Sharing: Provide guidance and training on bypass techniques.

Requirements:

• 6+ years combined experience in web application testing, automation, and data analysis.
• Proven ability to develop and maintain automated tests (Python/Java, Pytest, REST Assured).
• Experience with prompt engineering and LLM APIs.
• Understanding of the ML lifecycle, Generative AI, and related technologies.
• Analyzing complex datasets to identify AI detection bypass patterns.
• Experience with version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with API testing.
• Excellent written and verbal English for cross-team communication.
• Working knowledge of Excel or Google Sheets.
• Experience leading/mentoring teams in test automation.

Nice to Have:

• Exposure to security testing (especially related to NLP or AI systems).
