Job Details
Application Administration: Create, modify, and delete users; optimize remote access; manage security for messaging systems, databases, and web applications. Coordinate with leadership to plan, design, and schedule software, hardware, and operating system updates. Develop/enhance processes and technical documentation, backup procedures, test plans, and reports. Respond to service requests, escalate to helpdesk as needed.
EAI/EDI Expertise: Provides knowledge of SAP modules for integrated data interchange (EAI/EDI) based on webMethods. Develop and maintain EAI/EDI interfaces.
Systems Monitoring & Maintenance: Monitor and evaluate in-place systems/applications, initialize repairs/updates. Independently modify software for error correction, hardware/interface upgrades, and performance improvements (Windows servers, third-party systems, storage systems). Consult with engineering staff and users to evaluate interface specifications/requirements and resolve customer problems. Support and administer application software platforms.
Documentation and Reporting: Document IT activities (downtime, problems, system configurations). May coordinate, manage, or build new computer systems.
Technical Proficiency: Stay updated on emerging technology and maintain technical competency in IT applications. Engineer keeps abreast of latest security trends, participates in security activities. Update operating systems per company policy.
Skills Requirements: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience. 5+ years experience in Information Systems, 5+ years XML/Webservice development. WebMethods development/administration experience (10.x preferred). Experience implementing A2A/B2B solutions, web services, and RESTful services (APIs). Experience with B2B standards X12 EDI, flat files (advantage). SFTP and PGP encryption experience. Trading Networks and partner onboarding process experience. WebMethods upgrade activities experience. Creating/maintaining technical documentation for application interfaces. Monitor EAI/EDI production systems, troubleshoot issues effectively. Certified WebMethods Integration Professional preferred.
