Job Details
Perform application administration activities: creating, modifying, and deleting users; optimizing remote access; and securing access for messaging systems, databases, and web applications.
Coordinate releases: plan, design, and schedule releases for software, hardware, and operating system updates. Develop processes, technical documentation, backup procedures, test plans, and reports. Prioritize and respond to service requests, and escalate issues to helpdesk staff.
Provide EAI/EDI knowledge: use knowledge of various SAP modules for integrated data interchange in EAI and EDI developments based on webMethods.
Essential Functions:
- Develop EAI/EDI Interfaces
- Monitor and evaluate systems and applications, initiating repairs, updates, and changes for maximum performance.
- Independently modify software to correct errors, adapt to new hardware, upgrade interfaces, and improve performance (e.g., Windows servers, third-party systems, storage systems).
- Consult with staff and users to evaluate hardware/software interface, develop and implement specifications and performance requirements, and resolve customer problems.
- Support and administer various application software platforms.
- Document IT activities (e.g., downtime, problems, system configurations).
- Coordinate, manage, and/or build new computer systems (if needed).
- Stay updated on emerging technology and maintain technical competency.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Stay abreast of latest security trends, participate in regular security activities; keep operating systems updated per company policies.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in Information Systems, with 5+ years experience in XML & Webservice development (XML, XSL, DTD, XSLT, SOAP, WSDL, EDI)
- WebMethods development and administration experience required (Integration server, UM/Broker, Trading Networks, JDBC/SAP adapters etc..), 10.x preferred
- A2A and B2B solutions implementation experience
- Web services and RESTful services (APIs) implementation experience
- X12 EDI, Flat files experience (an advantage)
- SFTP and PGP encryption experience
- Trading Networks and Partner onboarding process experience
- WebMethods upgrade activities experience
- Technical documentation creation/maintenance experience
- Monitor EAI/EDI production systems and troubleshoot issues effectively
- Certified WebMethods Integration Professional (preferred)
- Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) Certification (preferred)
