Perform application administration activities: creating, modifying, and deleting users; optimizing remote access; and managing security access for messaging systems, databases, and web applications.
Coordinate with department leadership to plan, design, and schedule the release of software, hardware, and operating system updates. Develop and enhance processes and technical documentation, create backup procedures, test plans, and reports.
Prioritize and respond to service requests and provide escalation support to helpdesk staff.
Provide knowledge for various SAP modules for integrated data interchange for EAI and EDI developments based on webMethods.
Develop EAI/EDI Interfaces
Monitor and evaluate all in-place systems and applications, initializing repairs, updates, and changes to ensure maximum performance.
Independently modify existing software to correct errors, adapt to new hardware, upgrade interfaces, and improve performance (e.g., Windows servers, third-party systems, storage systems).
Consult with engineering staff and users to evaluate the interface between hardware and software, develop and implement specifications and performance requirements, and resolve customer problems.
Support and administer various applications software platforms.
Document IT activities, including downtime, problems, and systems configurations.
May coordinate, manage, or build new computer systems for special purposes.
Stay abreast of emerging technology and maintain technical competency of IT applications.
Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
Engineer must keep abreast of and be aware of latest security trends, participating in regular security activities. Maintain updated operating systems per company security policies and procedures.
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
Minimum 5+ years experience in an Information Systems role; 5+ years in XML & Webservice development (XML, XSL, DTD, XSLT, SOAP, WSDL, EDI)
WebMethods development and administration experience required, 10.x preferred (Integration server, UM/Broker, Trading Networks, JDBC/SAP adapters etc.)
Experience implementing A2A and B2B solutions
Experience implementing web services and RESTful services (APIs)
Experience with B2B standards X12 EDI, Flat files is a plus.
Experience with SFTP and PGP encryption
Working experience with Trading Networks and Partner on-boarding process
Experience with WebMethods upgrade activities
Experience creating/maintaining technical documentation related to application interfaces.
Monitor EAI/EDI production systems and troubleshoot issues effectively.
Certified WebMethods Integration Professional preferred.
Certification in Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) preferred.
