The Assistant Manager of Billing leads billing operations, focusing on efficiency, accuracy, and adherence to firm policies. This role is pivotal in delivering high-quality service to internal and external clients.
- Directs daily billing activities, ensuring timeliness and accuracy.
- Aligns team resources for optimal service delivery.
- Assigns workload and supervises major billing projects.
- Maintains compliance with client rates and e-billing requirements.
- Collaborates with other teams to resolve discrepancies.
- Communicates with Billing Partners and external clients.
- Conducts performance evaluations and identifies training needs.
- Monitors billing and e-billing status reports.
- Partners with Collections to resolve unallocated cash balances.
- Maintains and updates client billing instructions.
- Proactively identifies and develops solutions to reduce inefficiencies.
- Ability to supervise a team and coordinate workflow.
- Demonstrated communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to provide quality client service.
- Ability to organize and prioritize work.
- Detail-oriented and committed to accuracy.
- Knowledge of basic accounting concepts and internal controls.
- Experience with e-billing platforms.

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field required.
Minimum of 5 years of billing experience, including direct supervision. Experience in a professional services organization preferred.
