Associate Creative Director, Copy
The Associate Creative Director, Copy (ACD) is a contributor, manager, and leader of brands, setting the bar for senior-level copy team members in terms of craft.
The ACD possesses a proven ability to multitask, delegate, and manage projects to ensure seamless business management, while contributing to idea generation and executional excellence.
They act as a direct liaison between creative and senior account team members and clients, exceeding strategic and creative expectations.
Demonstrates high business acumen, nurturing the talents of others.
The ACD also has advanced presentation and persuasion skills, leading meetings and selling work internally and externally.
Proven experience owning, leading, and managing projects across multiple brands, ranging in scope and complexity, creating cohesive brand experiences.
Responsibilities:
- Concepting big ideas and executing campaigns across channels.
- Managing teams and business in collaboration with the Creative Director.
- Defining brand voice and tone.
- Leading teams through change and new directions.
- Providing feedback on copy to meet expectations.
- Estimating project hours for individuals and teams.
- Managing workloads, resources and gathering additional resources when necessary.
- Leveraging business and communication strategies across channels.
- Ensuring individual and team targets are met.
- Adhering to accessibility best practices.
- Creating an environment that rewards innovation.
- Mentoring mid- to senior-level team members, elevating their craft and industry knowledge.
- Leading client presentations, communicating strategic and creative value.
- Serving as a go-to resource for new business efforts.
Requirements:
- 8+ years of writing experience, primarily in the pharma space.
- Recognized creative lead and contributor on conceptual and tactical projects.
- Advanced command of scientific information, copywriting and ability to collaborate with internal/external medical and legal teams.
- Ability to handle high-volume, fast turnaround projects.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills.
- Experience successfully managing teams and projects.
- A wide range of industry and disease state experience.
- Highly collaborative and proactive team player.
- Proven ability to build strong internal and client relationships.
