Full-Time Associate Director - Cost Manager / Quantity Surveyor

• Strong leadership skills and experience leading a cost management team.
• Interfacing with clients, stakeholders, and consultants.
• Quantity surveying, cost controls, and change management.
• Communication with the general contractor, owner’s representatives, and external stakeholders.
• Strategic and operational management of Cost Management and Project Controls Services.
• Reporting on the commercial status of projects.
• Driving Turner & Townsend best practices.
• Identifying opportunities to improve cost management procedures.
• Undertaking Staff Performance reviews.
• Setting a clear strategy for the team.
• Coaching and mentoring talent.
• Financial Management: tracking margin levels and monthly fee/resource forecasts.
• Risk mitigation and performance measurements via KPIs.
• Implementing and maintaining internal Business Management Systems.
• Undertaking internal BMS audits.
• Developing a detailed understanding of the market.
• Advising on contracting and procurement strategy.
• Participating in meetings and preparing presentations.
• Providing weekly project status updates.
• Identifying business generation opportunities.
• Participating in generating proposals/RFP responses.
• Knowledge Management: ensuring key information is inputted into internal databases.
• Attending relevant networking events.
• Being a role model for the company culture.
• SOX control responsibilities where applicable.

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering, or related field.
• Graduate degree preferred.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in cost management in the construction industry.
• Construction consultancy experience preferred.
• SME in Quantity Surveying, RICS certified or equivalent.
• Excellent presentation, verbal, written, organizational, and communication skills.
