Full-Time Automotive Aerodynamics Engineer

CS Group Canada is seeking an Expert Automotive Aerodynamics Engineer to support their clients in developing next-generation vehicle aerodynamics.

Key Responsibilities:

• Optimize exterior aerodynamics for enhanced performance, energy efficiency, and consumption, focusing on robotaxis.
• Lead aerodynamics development for exterior surfaces and active aerodynamic enablers.
• Guide CFD engineers, design teams, and cross-functional departments in achieving optimal aerodynamic performance.
• Lead aerodynamic design efforts and provide strategic recommendations.
• Define and direct wind tunnel testing strategies to validate improvements.
• Educate internal teams on aerodynamics in vehicle architecture and performance.
• Collaborate with the energy team to optimize aerodynamics for real-world robotaxi energy consumption.
• Provide technical leadership in tire aerodynamics and aero drag interactions.
• Recommend shutter designs to balance cooling and drag.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.
• Extensive automotive aerodynamics experience.
• Proven experience leading vehicle aerodynamics development (preferably at a major OEM).
• Strong background in CFD analysis, wind tunnel testing, and active aerodynamics.
• Ability to work cross-functionally and translate aerodynamic insights.
• Experience in aero-energy optimization for electric/autonomous vehicles.
• Strong knowledge of NVH (Noise, Vibration, Harshness) reduction techniques.
• Experience with thermal modeling and efficiency optimization.
• Familiarity with automotive industry standards.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
