The Noa Notes Team is building AI tools that turn doctor-patient conversations into structured clinical notes. Our mission is to make clinical note-taking so seamless and reliable that it becomes invisible.
Why Our Team? We have real traction and proof that what we're building matters. With a team of just nine, your work will directly shape the product's trajectory.
You'll tackle hard problems at the intersection of AI, distributed systems, and healthcare workflows. You’ll own features from ideas through impact measurement. We ship small increments to production early and often.
About the Role: We're looking for a Backend Engineer with 4+ years of experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own features end-to-end: from shaping and refinement through build, release, and impact review.
- Design and develop backend systems with a focus on scalability, reliability, and observability.
- Work on real-time audio processing pipelines and AI/ML integrations.
- Build and optimize integrations with Docplanner products, third-party healthcare systems, and cloud services across AWS and Azure.
- Solve distributed systems challenges.
- Expand Noa's reach across devices, platforms, and workflows.
- Collaborate closely with Product, Design, and Data.
- Contribute to a strong engineering culture through code reviews, testing, and lightweight documentation.
- Surface trade-offs, propose solutions, and drive day-to-day technical decisions.
You're a Great Fit If You Are:
- A backend engineer with 4+ years of experience building systems that scale.
- Comfortable working across the stack.
- Curious about end-users and how your work impacts their experience.
- Energized by ownership.
- A clear communicator.
- Someone who ships iteratively.
What Will Help You Thrive:
- Solid experience designing distributed systems and async workflows.
- Strong database fundamentals.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or similar).
- Familiarity with containerization, observability, and CI/CD practices.
- A testing mindset.
- Proficiency in English (B2+) for effective collaboration.
Nice-to-Have:
- Experience with AI/ML integrations.
- Exposure to Kubernetes or container orchestration.
- Background in healthcare or regulated industries.
- Ability to read and work with Python codebases.
