Full-Time Billing Specialist

The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely medical billing and collections, as well as maintaining accurate and up-to-date medical records. If you have a strong background in medical billing, medical coding, and medical terminology, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity. **Responsibilities:** - Prepare and submit medical claims to insurance companies and Medicare/Medicaid - Review and process medical records, including diagnosis and procedure codes - Accurately apply ICD-10 coding and DRG classification systems - Verify patient demographics and insurance information - Maintain accurate and detailed medical records - Perform medical collections and negotiate payment plans - Stay current with changing medical coding and billing regulations - Collaborate with healthcare providers and other office staff to ensure accurate billing and medical records - Identify and resolve billing and coding discrepancies - Maintain a thorough understanding of medical terminology and medical office procedures - Work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced environment **Experience:** - 2+ years of experience in medical billing and/or medical coding - Familiarity with medical office systems and software - Experience with medical billing systems, including Epic and Meditech - Strong knowledge of ICD-10 coding and DRG classification systems - Experience with medical collection and negotiation of payment plans - Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel - High school diploma or equivalent required - Associate's degree in Medical Billing and Coding or related field preferred **Skills:** - Medical billing and coding - Medical office systems and software - Medical collection and negotiation - Medical coding and terminology - ICD-10 coding - DRG classification systems - Medical records management - Medical terminology - Coding - Medical office experience
