This role is ideal for someone with proven development engineering and planning skills. Seeking forward-leaning candidates to coordinate and deliver high-quality engineering and planning deliverables on large-scale solar and storage projects across the US. The candidate will interact with planning and zoning offices, permitting, engineering consultants, and executive management.
The role requires a keen eye for details and a strong understanding of the planning and engineering process to bring projects to commercial operation.
Responsibilities include:
- Managing and maintaining AutoCAD and GIS standards for the Planning & Engineering Department
- Preparing environmental due diligence figures and maps
- Preparing Land Constraints Analyses and site development layouts
- Managing early site due diligence packages
- Reviewing regulatory requirements and technical permitting parameters
- Designing and optimizing projects based on techno-economic analysis
- Conducting technical analyses in GIS, CAD, and other engineering software
- Managing and maintaining the company project database using ArcGIS Online
Qualifications include:
- Proven experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D and GIS (ArcGIS Pro and/or QGIS)
- ArcGIS Online experience creating web maps
- Data acquisition skills and understanding of GIS metadata, files, and sources
- Experience in site development
- Understanding of constraints mapping (NWI, FEMA, Web Soil Survey, Lidar)
- Understanding of zoning regulations and environmental constraints risk assessments
- Ability to learn engineering principles and software
- Highly productive, efficient with minimal oversight
- Affinity for detail and high-quality work
- Resourceful and communicative
- PVCase experience preferred, but not required
