Contractor Certified Medical Assistant

We are seeking Remote Certified Medical Assistants to join our team and support virtual patient care programs.

Responsibilities:

• Assist patients with telehealth video visits and troubleshoot technical issues.
• Guide patients through virtual intake process, ensuring seamless experience.
• Collect & document vital signs, medical history, medication reconciliation.
• Administer & complete screening questionnaires.
• Handle inbound calls, assess patient needs, provide appropriate guidance.
• Offer live phone support to answer questions & address concerns.
• Proactively manage patient care workflows.
• Escalate abnormal/elevated vital signs, concerns to RNs.
• Accurately document patient interactions using EHRs (AthenaOne, Healthie).
• Document calls through platforms (Salesforce).
• Utilize phone call scripts & EHR macros.
• Index patient cases for follow-up & prioritization.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3-5 years experience as Certified Medical Assistant (remote CMA experience preferred).
• Medical Assistant Certification (AAMA, AMT, NHA, or NCCT).
• High school diploma or equivalent (higher education a plus).
• Experience handling high call volumes.
• Familiarity with EHR systems (AthenaOne experience preferred).
• Tech-savvy, ability to adapt to new platforms (Slack, Google Suite).
• Strong oral, written, & interpersonal communication skills.
• Proven ability to work with diverse patient populations.
• Ability to work independently & prioritize tasks.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with AthenaOne, Salesforce, & Slack (or similar).
• 2-4 years telehealth or phone-based patient care experience.
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
