Role Summary: Eurofins seeks a hands-on Cloud Engineer to support IT infrastructure services, focusing on Azure Cloud, containers, networks, automation, and DevOps. The role involves designing, building, maintaining, optimizing, and supporting Cloud Native standards and DevOps practices. The team supports regional and local IT teams in creating a resilient IT landscape tailored to business needs, acting as a liaison between cloud architects, IT teams, and business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement cloud-based solutions on Azure.
- Manage and optimize multiple Kubernetes clusters (AKS, EKS, Rancher).
- Implement and maintain Terraform-based release solutions.
- Collaborate, consult, train, and support IT teams on new standards.
- Support IT teams during major incidents.
- Contact regional IT teams, gather requirements, and implement standard operating procedures.
- Deploy application landing zones in Azure using Terraform.
- Apply ITIL and DevOps methodologies to troubleshoot problems.
- Collaborate with application teams to adapt to cloud requirements.
- Escalate support and troubleshooting issues for all IT teams.
- Provide quality documentation.
- Collaborate with IT infrastructure, operations, architecture, application, and security teams.
- Identify opportunities to innovate, automate, and simplify delivery through Terraform contributions.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of proven hands-on experience in complex IT environments.
- Strong knowledge of IT services and their relationships in complex environments.
- Ability to learn and think creatively.
- Proficient in code analysis and reverse engineering.
- Positive attitude towards challenges.
- Essential Skills:
- Microsoft Azure (operations and infrastructure)
- Linux/Windows OS administration and scripting (DSC preferred)
- Deep knowledge and experience with Kubernetes and related products (AKS, EKS)
- Monitoring and alerting systems (e.g., Datadog, Icinga)
- Security and registration tools
- Identity and access management using Azure AD
- Automation tools (e.g., Terraform, DSC, Ansible, Helm, Azure DevOps)
- GitOps experience
- Software distribution and packaging
- Networking knowledge
- Advanced English proficiency
