Job Details
The Cloud Financial Operations Director will lead QAD's FinOps practice, driving cost optimization and financial visibility. This role requires technical expertise, financial acumen, and strong communication skills. Must work/reside in the Eastern or Central time zone in the U.S.
Key Responsibilities:
- Subscription Gross Margin Analysis: Model and monitor subscription gross margins.
- Value Creation Workstream: Program Manage migration to a single modern multi-tenant platform.
- 5 Year Financial Model: Develop and maintain a financial model for cloud hosting costs and subscription margins.
- Lead FinOps Strategy: Develop, implement, and manage QAD's FinOps strategy.
- Cost Management & Optimization: Monitor cloud hosting costs and drive cost optimization initiatives across cloud providers.
- Financial Visibility & Reporting: Create dashboards and reports for cloud spend insights.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Collaborate on cloud budgets and forecasts.
- Resource Governance: Establish resource governance policies for accurate cost allocation.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with teams to embed FinOps principles.
- Tooling & Automation: Evaluate and implement FinOps tools and automation solutions.
- Education & Evangelism: Champion FinOps best practices across the organization.
- Cloud Vendor Management: Work with cloud provider account teams to leverage cost-saving programs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in FinOps, Cloud Financial Management, or similar role.
- Deep understanding of major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Fluency in FinOps and cloud management tools like CloudZero.
- Proficiency with data analysis and visualization tools (e.g. Excel, Tableau, Power BI).
- Strong understanding of financial concepts, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
