Full-Time Cloud Operations Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles, primarily with AWS.
• Develop and maintain cloud resources using AWS Cloud Development Kit (CDK) and TypeScript.
• Monitor cloud services and applications to ensure optimal performance, availability, and security using Datadog.
• Implement and manage data backup and disaster recovery strategies, ensuring data integrity and rapid restoration capabilities.
• Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and internal security policies.
• Automate operational tasks and workflows to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
• Participate in on-call rotations for incident response and troubleshooting critical issues.
• Collaborate with development and other teams to streamline deployment processes and improve overall system reliability.
• Document infrastructure, processes, and procedures clearly and concisely.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest AWS services, best practices, and industry trends.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience working with AWS services.
• Demonstrated experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools and methodologies.
• Strong understanding of core AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, EKS, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch).
• Familiarity with service monitoring, alerting, and logging best practices.
• Experience with data backup and recovery strategies in a cloud environment.
• Proven ability to work in environments with higher compliance requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience with AWS Cloud Development Kit (CDK) and proficiency in TypeScript for IaC development.
• Experience with Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines and automation tools.
• AWS Certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator).
• Familiarity with other programming/scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash).
• Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
