Cloud Sustaining Engineering Manager
As a Cloud Sustaining Engineering Manager, you will be a member of the team responsible for global hardware design, standards, and architecture, leading and developing Cloud Standards Engineers.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the sustainability of server, storage, and rack hardware standards for ServiceNow datacenters.
- Maintain server, storage, cloud service provider, and rack SKU documentation.
- Document Change Management.
- Manage daily work assignments for engineers.
- Develop new designs and changes to non-capacity components (cabinets, PDUs, cables, etc.).
- Maintain relationships with resellers/integrators and suppliers.
- Ensure hardware solution continuity.
- Work with manufacturers to evaluate new technologies.
- Design, build, and maintain operational configurations for consistent deployments.
- Collaborate with other engineering teams on hardware rollouts and issues.
- Lead troubleshooting and problem remediation.
- Provide career development to engineers.
Requirements:
- Experience integrating AI into work processes and problem-solving.
- Experience with enterprise server solutions, storage solutions, rack-level power design, and network cabling design.
- Intermediate understanding of AC/DC power calculations.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Some travel required.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in CIS, MIS, CS, or related field.
- Experience with the ServiceNow platform is a plus.
- Excellent communication, customer skills, problem-solving, conflict management, listening, time management, and interpersonal skills are required.
Basic Qualifications:
- 7+ years datacenter management or technical program manager experience.
- 5+ years managing engineering teams.
- 2+ years working with cloud service providers (AWS, Azure, etc.).
Compensation: $163,600 - $286,300 base salary, plus equity, variable/incentive compensation, and benefits.
