Commercial Operations Lead coordinates and optimizes key client and vendor contracts (MSAs, SOWs, Third-Party Agreements), ensuring alignment with organizational goals and compliance. Oversees the entire contract lifecycle: negotiation (pricing, terms), execution. Centralizes data, enhances transparency, tracks deadlines, and improves collaboration using a contract management system (CMS). Reports to Operations Chief of Staff. Collaborates with Division/Practice Leadership, Operations/Project Setup, Business Development, Legal/Compliance, Finance, and IT. Also collaborates with CLO, COO, and CFO to align contract management with broader commercial strategies and financial objectives.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee contract creation, negotiation, and execution, leveraging standardized templates for governance, accountability, and deadlines.
- Identify and mitigate contract risks, avoiding liabilities.
- Ensure contracts align with company policies, goals, and legal/regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with Legal, Leadership, Finance, Operations, and Business Development to align commercial objectives and processes.
- Streamline workflows, centralize data, and automate tracking using the Agiloft CMS.
- Serve as primary contact for contract lifecycle, resolving issues and ensuring cross-functional alignment.
- Provide training on contract standards, negotiation, and compliance.
- Collaborate with Legal to update business/financial clauses based on feedback, aligning with policies and compliance requirements.
- Collaborate with IT and Project Coordination teams to ensure financial and performance metrics are compatible with company systems.
- Partner with Business Development to ensure contracts align with client expectations and service delivery.
- Collaborate with client-facing teams to address contract-related issues.
- Support negotiations for key agreements, in partnership with Business Development and internal stakeholders, achieving optimal outcomes aligned with business objectives.
- Create and maintain enterprise-wide negotiation guidelines, including clear protocols, contract consistency, alignment with goals and compliance, and training/support.
- Provide guidance on acceptable terms and conditions, ensuring contract standard consistency.
- Ensure negotiated terms are accurately reflected in final agreements and maintain comprehensive records.
- Define/implement efficient, scalable, and compliant contract lifecycle strategies aligned with commercial and financial goals.
- Align contracts with pricing, rates, discounting, revenue strategies, invoice processing, and payment terms.
- Monitor and analyze contract performance to identify improvement areas.
- Define pricing strategies with Operations, Finance, and Business Development.
- Leverage dashboards/reports for contract performance, profitability, renewals, milestones, etc.
- Track KPIs, update leadership, monitor project margins with Finance, and implement improvements.
- Integrate contract data into reporting platforms.
- Provide feedback to IT to enhance CMS functionality, set performance benchmarks, evaluate agreements on revenue, customer satisfaction, and efficiency.
- Monitor contract performance, addressing issues to sustain client satisfaction.
- Drive process improvements to enhance contract management efficiency and seamless service delivery.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives for contract management tools, processes, and systems.
- Support mergers, acquisitions, or partnerships by providing contract review and alignment with due diligence processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, or related field.
- 7+ years experience in contract management, commercial operations, or similar role (consulting or professional services preferred).
- Managing/negotiating high-value/complex contracts.
- Experience in financial analysis, pricing strategy, and profitability tracking.
Skills

Salary $120,000 - $140,000 per year.
