Full-Time Commercial Sr Manager

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the commercial operations of assigned projects
• Oversight of the project’s contracts, subcontracts, earned value calculation, cashflow, risk management, and financial reporting.
• Provide guidance on all areas of responsibility.

General:

• Functions as a deputy reporting directly to the project/design manager
• Coordinates with other corporate teams
• Manages or collaborates with the project commercial teams
• Highlights areas of concern to the project management team
• Develops and presents monthly commercial status updates

Contract Oversight:

• Supports the negotiation of contract terms and conditions.
• Implements procedures for contract management
• Prepares correspondence and maintains records
• Implements change management procedures
• Tracks and monitors the status of all potential and actual changes
• Leads the development of change cost and schedule impact analysis
• Assists project/design manager with change negotiations
• Works with project legal team to help develop and provide contract awareness
• Administers prime contract and flow down terms to subconsultants
• Develops potential back charges or claims to subconsultants
• Oversees tracking of potential claims for or against AECOM
• Assists the project/design manager with potential damages quantification
• Liaise with internal and external counsel as required.

Risk Management:

• Assists the project/design manager with the development and assembly of the project risk register
• Leads regular project risk register updates

Cost, Schedule, Cash Flow and Performance Monitoring:

• Ensures the project unified work breakdown structure (WBS)
• Assists the project/design manager with the assembly of fee estimates
• Establishes and maintains baseline budgets.
• Leads schedule variance analysis reporting.
• Develops and oversees variance reporting against baselines
• Establishes earned value models and planned value baselines.
• Establishes and maintains earned value cost variance, CPI and SPI reporting
• Evaluates staffing, level of effort, and cost forecasts versus budget.
• Establishes baseline schedule based on client requirements
• Leads regular schedule updates within P6 and weekly three-week look ahead schedules
• Provides input on mitigation plans with the project team as required.
• Oversees the billing and cash collection processes.
• Oversees the preparation of regular estimate-at-completion updates

Minimum Requirements:

• BA/BS + 10 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency
• A minimum of 10 years’ experience in Engineering or Construction

Preferred Qualifications:

• A bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, business, law, or construction management.
• Five years’ experience developing and negotiating terms and conditions for engineering or construction contracts.
• Five years’ experience with contract change orders, and contract dispute negotiation.
