Community Relations Grant Coordinator
This is a contract opportunity.This is a hybrid opportunity in Marlborough, MA.
About this position The Community Relations Grant Coordinator supports the effective administration of community grant programs.
This role is responsible for tracking grant requests, monitoring budgets, supporting nonprofit vetting and application review, and maintaining accurate program data.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, self-motivated, and comfortable working both independently and collaboratively with internal teams and external partners.
Job Responsibilities
- Maintain and update grant program trackers to monitor the status of requests and overall budget performance.
- Support the review and vetting process of nonprofit organizations and grant applications.
- Assist with the execution of grant programs by processing requests through the grant management system.
- Act as the main point of contact for database-related inquiries and troubleshooting from nonprofit applicants and grantees.
- Track and manage event sponsorships, including maintaining guest lists and monitoring status updates.
- Conduct research and support various Community Relations projects as needed.
Skills/Requirements
- 5–10 years of relevant professional experience in grant administration, nonprofit support, community relations, or a similar field.
- Strong ability to navigate systems, manage data, and produce clear, accurate reporting.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to balance and prioritize tasks across multiple teams and projects.
- Experience with database management and/or data analytics.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Exceptional communication skills—both written and verbal—with a focus on clarity and collaboration.
- Ability to work independently and drive tasks forward with minimal supervision.
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities in dynamic, fast-paced environments.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Customer-focused with a positive, solutions-oriented approach.
Preferred:
- Knowledge of the nonprofit sector.
- Experience with Blackbaud, IGAM, or other grant management platforms.
Additional Information:
- Hybrid work environment (Tuesday and Wednesday on site)
- 6-month contract with the possibility of extending/converting
- Pay/Salary Range: $30-$38/hour
