Job Details
Operate from the Akuo Texas office and Hybrid. Remote candidates need to travel to the San Antonio Office quarterly.
Manage, oversee, and coordinate Akuo's, affiliate and 3rd party customers' ISO-RTO, NERC, and other regulatory agency compliance activities.
Work directly with the Asset Management & Operations (AM&O) Team, compliance stakeholders, and Subject Matter Experts to maintain a sustainable culture of compliance.
- Develop, implement, and update internal compliance programs.
- Analyze data, develop/modify reports, and compare processes to industry best practices.
- Prepare and submit compliance reports.
- Conduct mock audits to test programs and operations.
- Lead external audits, self-certifications, and regulatory inspections.
- Develop and communicate regulatory processes, guidelines, and needs.
- Work with Site Operations to implement tasks and tracking.
- Provide real-time advice.
- Help resolve noncompliance issues and conflicts.
- Manage registration processes, rule impact analysis, test controls, legal entity identifier registrations, etc.
- Educate/train personnel on procedures and new regulations.
- Lead business units in reviewing, revising, and implementing compliance processes.
- Maintain job knowledge on NERC/RE/ISO standards and requirements.
- Maintain awareness of new/revised standards and action plans.
- Work with ROCC and OT/Network team for compliance enhancements.
- Hold regular meetings to communicate status of regulations.
- Participate in industry organizations, conferences, workshops, and forums.
- Coordinate projects related to compliance.
- Assist in budgeting for Akuo managed projects.
Requirements:
- Mandatory experience in the Renewable Energy sector.
- Bachelor's degree in a business or engineering-related field and five (5) years of experience in compliance.
- General understanding of electric generation and/or transmission systems.
- Enhanced knowledge of FERC, NERC, and ISO/RTO operating procedures.
- Ability to read, understand, and interpret complex laws/standards.
- Strong planning, organization, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High integrity and reliability.
- Successful completion of pre-employment drug testing and 7-year background check.
