Conflicts Information Specialist supports the firm's risk management needs and new business function by collecting information for thorough conflict of interest checks on new representations and lateral attorney hires.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conducts corporate research (internet & other tools) to confirm party names and identify corporate affiliates.
- Enters and updates data in the firm's conflicts database, searches for conflicts, and generates reports for attorneys.
- Performs sanctions and risk-related research.
- Interacts with attorneys and secretaries.
- Drafts and distributes daily reports of proposed business.
- Enters client and new matter information into conflicts and accounting databases.
- Assists department management with special projects.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Demonstrated ability to conduct internet research.
- Basic knowledge of business ownership and corporate structures.
- Strong organization and prioritization skills in a dynamic environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and meeting deadlines.
- Proficiency in data entry and accuracy.
- Effective communication (oral & written) with attorneys and staff.
- Strong teamwork and cooperative abilities.
- Ability to master new technology applications.
- Proficiency in standard office equipment and MS Office Suite (Word, Excel).
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent experience).
- No experience required; on-the-job training provided.
- Highly preferred: experience in internet research, database maintenance, and report preparation.
- Plus: Intapp Open, Elite, or comparable database experience.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Competitive compensation ($51,000 - range may vary based on factors).
