Full-Time Construction Cost Estimator – Commercial TI/Fit Out

Turner & Townsend is seeking a Cost Estimator to support their national office space construction portfolio. This role requires a professional with a strong estimating background, particularly in office spaces. Responsibilities include:

1. Preparing accurate estimates for office space remodels and fit-outs.
2. Developing cost plans and estimates throughout initial design phases.
3. Estimating costs including General Contractor, Furniture/Fixtures/Equipment, Professional fees, and other cost buckets.
4. Considering cost drivers across geographical regions in the United States.
5. Reviewing design changes and updating estimates.
6. Managing project budgets, ensuring cost control and value engineering.
7. Providing regular updates and addressing client concerns.
8. Collaborating with project managers, architects, and engineers.
9. Generating cost reports and forecasts, presenting findings to clients and internal stakeholders.
10. Staying updated on market trends to provide accurate cost estimates and recommendations on cost risks & savings.
11. Producing monthly cost reports for clients.
12. Reviewing contractor pricing and negotiating fair contract prices.
13. Negotiating change orders with general contractors/subcontractors.
14. Creating and maintaining unit rates.
15. Adhering to SOX controls where applicable.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in construction cost management and/or estimating, focused on office spaces.
• Program level cost management and construction consultancy experience is preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of construction industry technical matters (schedule duration input, value management, value engineering)
• Experience in the commercial sector, including tenant improvements (TI) and office space build-outs.
• Financial Services experience is a plus.
• Proficiency in industry-standard cost estimating software.

Salary: $100,000 - $120,000 per year (base salary).
