Join the Growth & Improvement team at Hume City Council.

In this role, you will:

• Lead, coordinate, and oversee the efficient operation of the Department's Growth Area Statutory Planning and Subdivision teams.
• Identify and advocate for system change and process improvements.
• Lead cross-functional teams to deliver projects.
• Provide leadership and support to staff.
• Ensure adherence to relevant policies and procedures.
• Provide guidance related to business process and systems.
• Contribute to the administration of relevant statutory processes and regulations.
• Represent Council at forums and events.
• Maintain a high level of cooperation between stakeholders.
• Lead the Department to provide a consistently high level of customer service.

Skills and Experience:

• Tertiary qualification in Town Planning or related discipline.
• Extensive experience in statutory planning and growth area planning.
• Knowledge of community expectations in a growth environment.
• Demonstrated ability in supervising, leading, and motivating a team.
• Sound negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Capacity to manage multiple projects and a complex workload.
• Experience with process review and implementing change.
