Full-Time Copy Editor Proofreader

Your CareerYou’ll ensure all outbound communications are current, correct, consistent, customer-friendly, and polished. You understand when time limits revisions. You respect the boundaries between content and copy editing, preserving the writer's wording except where ambiguity, repetition, or lack of logical structure would result.

Your ImpactCopy edit primarily technical marketing collateral according to Chicago style. Review AP-based creative content and various communications. Proofread PDFs, slides, and graphics for errors. Fact-check, place trademark symbols, and ensure sources are properly cited. Collaborate with copywriters, editors, and designers.

Your Experience 5+ years editing in high-tech, preferably 2+ years in cybersecurity. In-depth knowledge of Chicago style, plus some AP (training provided). Excellent grammar and mechanics, exceptional proofing skills, and good editorial judgment. Adaptable in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Experience Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, or similar (other degrees considered with relevant experience and certificate). Experience with Google G Suite, Adobe Acrobat Pro, and Asana. Exposure to AI-generated content and new editing tools.

Compensation DisclosureCompensation depends on qualifications, experience, and location. Starting salary (non-sales roles) or base salary + commission target (sales roles) is $131,000 - $185,000/yr. Offered compensation may include restricted stock units and bonus. Employee benefits described elsewhere.
